What Is Hero For Hero?

When Dan Monaco opened Town Hero Subs in Palm Beach County, he had one vision that went beyond making great sandwiches: he wanted to feed the people who feed everyone else's safety. The people who show up when the rest of us run away. The ones who wear a badge, a uniform, or a patch that says they gave something most people never will.

That's where Hero For Hero was born. It's not a loyalty program. It's not a coupon. It's a direct, no-questions-asked commitment from Town Hero to the heroes of our community: you eat free, always.

The program started simple and stays simple. Active duty military, veterans, law enforcement, firefighters, and EMS personnel walk into either Town Hero Subs location, show a valid ID or badge, and order anything they want off the menu. No forms, no minimums, no questions. We've got it — and we always will.

Hero For Hero has grown into something bigger than a free sub. It's now a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to serve and honor the protectors of our community across Palm Beach County and beyond. But every great movement starts local — and it started right here at Town Hero Subs.

Who Qualifies?

If you protect this community, you eat free. It's that simple. Here's who qualifies for the Hero For Hero program at Town Hero Subs:

• Active duty military — Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, Space Force
• Military veterans — Any branch, any era. Your service counts forever.
• Law enforcement officers — Local, county, state, and federal. Any badge, any jurisdiction.
• Firefighters — Career and volunteer. You run in. You eat free.
• EMTs and paramedics — The ones who show up in the worst moments and bring people back. Always free.

If you're unsure whether you qualify, walk in and ask. The answer is almost certainly yes — and if there's ever a doubt, we're going to err on the side of feeding you.

How To Claim Your Free Meal

Claiming your Hero For Hero meal couldn't be simpler. We deliberately made it that way — no jumping through hoops, no apps to download, no codes to enter. Here's how it works:

• Step 1: Walk into either Town Hero Subs location — Lantana or Lake Worth.
• Step 2: Show your valid military ID, veteran ID, badge, or any official credentials at the counter.
• Step 3: Order anything on the menu. Subs, hero dogs, salads — it's all covered. We've got it.

There's no limit on how often you can come in. There's no "once per day" rule or "one free item" restriction we're currently tracking. You're a hero. Come in whenever you want a great sub. That's the deal.

The one thing we ask? Tell other heroes about it. Share this page. Let your squad know. This program grows because real heroes tell other real heroes — and because the Palm Beach County community keeps showing up for the people who show up for them.
